This channel was started because there are a lot of challenges right now in the public sphere. We're trying to do something about them.

Some of the challenges are: 

- Local journalism is on the decline 
- Communities are growing less and less tightknit
- Politics is increasingly difficult to understand
- Sides of the political aisle are polarized

Together hopefully we can explore these and other areas of improvement. Making a difference starts with talking about what needs to change, sharing resources to learn, and collaborating on meaningful projects.
